Mesick, MI (September 10, 2020) – On Tuesday evening, the Michigan State Police responded to the scene of an accident in Wexford County that sent three people to area hospitals with injuries. On September 8, the emergency crews were called to the site of a collision on Michigan 115.
Reports provided by local news sources show that a brown sedan was traveling on Michigan 115 when the vehicle collided with a dark-colored SUV near the area of North 15 Road. The impact of the crash caused the SUV to go off the road and come to rest in a grass field along the highway.
The crash left both vehicles severally damaged as fluids spilled out onto the roadway. Firefighters and police closed off the highway and began treating injured parties. The drivers of both vehicles were seriously injured in the accident. Both victims were rushed to area hospitals for further treatment. A passenger in the second vehicle was transported to a local hospital where they were treated and released.
At this time, state troopers are investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash.
