Detroit, MI – Woman Killed in Head-On Crash on Grand River Ave

Detroit, MI (October 9, 2020) – An accident reported on the northwest side of Detroit claimed one woman’s life and left two others injured. At approximately 5 a.m., on October 5, emergency crews were called to the scene of a crash on Grand River Avenue.

Reports show that a small pickup truck was traveling on Grand River Avenue when it crashed head-on with a sedan near Wyoming. The crash resulted in severe delays in traffic throughout the area.

One woman involved in the collision was fatally injured. Officers responded to the scene of the crash and pronounced the victim deceased immediately. Two other people were injured in the crash. Both victims were transported to area hospitals for treatment of injuries. At this time, the severity of injuries sustained by the victims is not known. The crash remains under investigation with local law enforcement agencies.
