Tallmadge Township, MI (October 29, 2020) – A vehicle collision reported on Wednesday morning left two people injured. At around 6:45 a.m., on October 28, the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene of a vehicle accident on Lake Michigan Drive.
Reports show that a 26-year-old man from Allendale was driving a 2006 Buick Ranier on Lake Michigan Drive when his vehicle struck a guardrail near Linden Drive. The man pulled his vehicle to the side of the road and exited it to evaluate the damage.
As the vehicle rested on the side of the road, it was struck by a 2009 Chevy Impala, which was driven by a 22-year-old man from Jenison. The crash caused the Buick driver to go over a guard rail and land on the road below after falling an unknown distance.
The man sustained serious injuries to his lower extremity. The driver of the Impala sustained injuries to his face in the accident. Both victims were rendered aid at the scene before the Buick’s driver was transported to an area hospital for further care. At this time, the crash remains under investigation.
