Chesterfield Twp., MI (November 26, 2020) – A motor vehicle accident reported in Chesterfield Township claimed the life of an Anchor Bay-area couple. At approximately 8:50 p.m., on November 25, the Chesterfield Township Police responded to the scene of an accident on 23 Mile Road.
Reports show that 21-year-old David Vasilevski and his passenger, 22-year-old Ashley Machuta, were both riding in a 2005 Cadillac CTS-V west on 23 Mile Road when their vehicle crashed into a 2009 Dodge Ram 1500, just west of Seaden Drive.
The crash caused severe damage to the Cadillac. Both Vasilevski and Machuta were fatally injured in the accident. The driver of the Dodge, a 19-year-old male from Macomb Township, was transported to an area hospital for the treatment of injuries.
At this time, investigations surrounding the cause of the crash are underway.
