Fatal Bicycle Accidents in Michigan
Every year, more than 2,400 pedestrians are injured in automobile accidents throughout the state of Michigan. Although there are many instances in which accident victims sustain only minor injuries, this is typically not the case with pedestrians. These people are generally unprotected, which increases the risk of serious and life-threatening injuries in collisions. Regrettably, many victims lose their lives as a result of these collisions. In fact, around 900 people lose their lives in accidents throughout the state of Michigan each year. These collisions not only have a detrimental impact on the lives of those involved, but their families are often forced to deal with unimaginable consequences as well.
In many cases, families are forced to spend tens of thousands of dollars on funeral expenses, burial costs, and go without wages they have grown to depend upon. Dealing with the unexpected costs after the loss of a loved one can be overwhelming. For this reason, families are able to file legal claims against at-fault parties to hold them accountable for their actions. Working with a wrongful death attorney in Michigan will ensure families are in the best position possible to protect their legal rights after the loss of a loved one. When pedestrians lose their lives in accidents due to the negligence of others, their families may be entitled to compensation to help alleviate the financial burdens they face moving forward.
