Van Buren Township, MI – Teen Killed & Four Injured in Crash on Belleville Rd

Van Buren Township, MI (February 8, 2021) – One teen has lost their life after a vehicle collision in Van Buren Township. At approximately 6:25 p.m., on February 7, emergency crews were called to the scene of a crash on Belleville Road.

Reports from authorities show that a Chevy Trailblazer and a Pontiac G6 collided on Belleville Road during the evening hours. The crash caused moderate damage to the two vehicles, resulting in the blocking of traffic at the intersection.

A 19-year-old male sustained fatal injuries in the accident and was pronounced deceased at the scene. Several other people were injured. A 17-year-old female was airlifted to Michigan Hospital for the treatment of critical injuries. A 16-year-old male and a 55-year-old woman were hospitalized with serious injuries while a 50-year-old male was transported to a local hospital for treatment.

At this time, the crash remains under investigation with the Van Buren Accident Investigation Team.
