Chesterfield Township, MI – Ronald Powers Killed in Car Crash on New Haven Rd

Chesterfield Township, MI (January 27, 2021) – An auto accident reported in Chesterfield Township claimed the life of one person on Tuesday morning. On January 26, emergency crews were called to the site of a vehicle collision on New Haven Road.

Reports from authorities show that a 2013 Ram pickup truck was traveling southbound on New Haven Road when it collided with a 2015 GMC box truck just north of Interstate 94.

One person involved in the crash was fatally injured. The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene. Authorities later identified the man as 65-year-old Ronald Powers, who was driving the Ram truck.

The driver of the GMC, identified as a 55-year-old male from the New Baltimore area, was rushed to a nearby hospital for the treatment of serious injuries. At this time, the crash remains under investigation.
