Car Accidents in Michigan
Every year, motor vehicle accidents impact over 300,000 people in the state of Michigan. Accidents involving semi-trucks, cars, trucks, SUVs, motorcycles, and pedestrians often cause major disruptions in the lives of those involved. Although the majority of accidents are minor, more than 55,000 people involved in these collisions are injured.
Victims who are injured in accidents often require surgery and hospitalization. When people break bones in accidents or suffer traumatic brain injuries, they may have to go through months of treatment and therapy. Not only are victims left with overwhelming pain and suffering, but they are often forced to spend tens of thousands of dollars on medical treatment while being forced out of work. Although many treatment options do exist for victims of collisions, there is no guarantee that they will ever recover. In many cases, mental, physical, and financial burdens are overwhelming. When victims are harmed in accidents as a result of negligent drivers, they may be able to obtain compensation from at-fault drivers.
